WVST Executive Meeting February 22, 2016 6:15pm
1. Meeting was called to order.
2. Financial results were discussed: A letter will be sent out to try to collect fees still owing by those swimmers who have quit swim team. These fees are the fees which are paid by WVST to Swim NB. To avoid this problem next year, these fees will have to be paid up front before the swimmers start.
3. Tax receipts for swimmers will be sent out next week.
4. Update from Eileen - Special thanks to Logan for his help at the meet in Fredericton. The meet went well but Eileen was concerned with the lack of Lifeguard supervision on deck (dive pool) at the meet. She will be discussing this with Robyn.
-March 19 is the Edmundston Meet
-Having a swim-a-thon was suggested
5. An Underwater camera is being donated to the club. Ryan and Ljiljana will be picking out the camera.
6. Whether or not to host a Premier meet next year was discussed. It would be a good fundraiser for the team.
7. Scott Brownridge was appointed as the Communications Officer for WVST. Thanks to Scott!
8. The date for “end of season” was discussed. Tentatively this will be the end of April for the younger swimmers and later into the summer for the Senior swimmers.
