Reviewed what we do for fundraising for the year
1) Team Swim-A-Thon is our major fundraiser- $2000 raised last year
2)Partnership program $125-$500, if any parents of new swimmers work for or know of
anyone who does sports sponsorship asked to help out, sponsor gets name on our website
and our banner that goes to meets and there is a 20% reduction of swimmers fee to parents
who get sponsors
Advised new parents and swimmers of the various team events we have through the year
1)Christmas Party
2)Year end party
3)After each meet have award ceremony on deck where swimmers given award and pictures
taken
4)Meet coverage in local newspaper when possible
Stressed parents involvement in officiating if possible - courses available for timing etc.
Course is simple and does not require lot of time-available on website or Tony can provide
them if the information required
Eileen reviewed expectations for new and returning swimmers
1) what equipment is required
2) stressed importance of keeping hydrated so make sure have water bottle at all times
3) Proper goggles are a must
4) Caleb has agreed to assist with coaching as needed
5) caps and t-shirts will be provided
6) track suits may be ordered through Eileen with name and team logo
