1) No treasurers Report Rhonda could not make the meeting. Team is in good financial position. I will email a copy and we can discuss at the next meeting. Tony also asked Rhonda to email parents the balances for the end of the season
2) Swim A Thon fundraiser was best year yet for funds raised $1920-Special thanks to beginners who raised over $1000
3) Discussed having a Fun Meet(None Swim Canada Sanctioned) possibly first week of June in conjunction with the Civic Centre. This was voted on and passed Tony will confirm with the Civic center and advise the parents. Club will use this for awareness of our swim Team and attracting new swimmers.Local area swimmers will be invited-Hartland, Nackawic,Florenceville-Bristol etc. Good publicity for club for the fall season.
4)Beginners will be done for the season May 8th and youth at end of May.
5)Once again Tony and Eileen will be hosting the year end party at their home. Fun time for all-
more information will be sent out when date decided. Year end awards will be given out at that time. Costs for the awards $400-$500. Tony will order the awards
6) Marta Belsh (Head Coach Fast and Canada Games Coach from Fredericton will be our mentor Coach forthe coming season.We will do a 2 hr program with our swimmers after the Canada Games trials to do an assessment and plans to come up every 4-5 weeks to oversee how things are coming along, She is also willing to come up and do some stroke clinics with Fast swimmers and Coachs. Posible dates for the initial meeting June 2nd or June 9th Tony will confirm.
7) Tony will firm up the dates We will try to co-ordinate the LTAD meeting with swimmers and parents while Marta is here. This is a requirement for the funds we received form Carleton North grant. Tony to let us know more when gets the date.
8)Will discuss the open executive positions in the fall when know who will be coming back and
how many swimmers we will have.
9) Discuss other parents learning the jobs so could be trained in the event someone else has to take over the position.
10)Canada Games entrants may be eligible for some help with costs re a government program-Eileen will check into and let them know.
11) We are still going to continue looking for coaches for the 2013-2014 season.
12)Go grants applications are available again this year . Eileen will prepare the application.
