Minutes January 17, 2013 Meeting
Attendees- Tony Crann, Todd Saunders, Eileen Saunders, Sharon Hamilton, Mark Gaddas, Marie Gaddas, Naomi Sharpe, Val
1. Discussed financials year to date and seem to be in good shape
2. Can't do meet in May due to unavilability of rooms available so going to try for April 21st , Eileen to see about availability of pool and rooms needed for that date.
3. Eileen to arrange date for Swim-A-Thon and arrange for community room for small party afterwards
4. Coaching- Todd feels that things are going well and the kids are really engaged in what they are doing
Eileen says not a lot of the beginners want to compete in the winter-what to do summer competition instead. Eileen to contact Kent Kuhn re the rule of winter vs summer competions.
5. Need to find out which coach can do Edmunston meet if have some "B" swimmers going. If one of the parents of a swimmer is not a coach we need to pay expenses for a coach. Made a proposal to pay coach
$50 day plus expenses and this was agreed upon by all in attendance.
6. Eileen to firm up date with Marta for the LTAD parent session for the end of February and will use this session for the Carleton North Grant by providing information, cost, pictures and publicity. Going to do up a brochure for the bulletin board, put on website and media board in lobby.
7. Tony needs a list of names of who would be available to time at the Moncton meet and for which session.
8. Randy out of town and couldn't attend so need to set up meeting with him in the next 3-4 weeks to discuss coach planner for next year.
9. Rhonda has the Swim-A-Thon receipts everyone has been waiting for and will be sending out to individuals who made pledges
10. Rhonda to review swimmers list for outstanding fees and sent out to parents.
