1) Meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m.
2) New business:
- nomination for VP (Lynn H. resigned)
- update on officials training (Anna)
3) Financial report tabled until next meeting
4) Matt will have WVST merchandise ready by December 19th (Christmas party).
The records board is in progress; will have a section for relays added to the board.
Stingrays will be added to WVST wall.
5) The Christmas party will be held Monday, December 19th at 6:30 p.m. at the Bowlacade. Tony will get a count of the number of attendees, so we can arrange for pizzas and other supplies.
Coaches will organize bowling teams and prizes will be awarded to bowlers.
6) Coaching update:
- beginner program is down one swimmer – we will place an ad in the local paper for January start-up
- December 22nd is the last practice before Christmas break and practices begin the week of January 8th
- We have been invited to participate in some extended practices with FAST, consisting of dry land and pool practices. Randy will confirm who is eligible to attend and the possible dates for travelling to Fredericton .
- January 7th – Canada Games camp in Moncton
- January 21st and 22nd – Team NB try meet
7) Tony attended the Swim NB AGM on November 26th – information will follow on the new structure
8) Marie Gaddas was nominated and accepted the position of VP on the WVST executive.
9) Anna spoke to the need for our club to participate in meets as officials. Courses are available online. Volunteers are encouraged to participate and request evaluations from meet coordinators. There is an “officials” contact person in each meet package.
Diane Foreman is willing to put on a stroke and turn course in January for all those interested in this training.
10) Verify that WVST relay teams are included in Swim Canada rankings.
11) Meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
